Best Beef Dip Ever

from Allrecipes.com

  • Beef chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 6 cups of water (or enough to come close to covering)

Place defrosted roast in slow cooker.  Season with seasonings.  Pour in soy sauce and water.  Cook on low setting for 6 to 10 hrs.  Once tender, shred and serve on rolls.

We really enjoyed this meal.  I ended up using a seasoning mix instead of just the seasons listed (as recommended in the reviews on the website).  The seasoning mix included salt and so our au jus ended up really salty (and I like salt).  If you are sensitive to salt levels you may want to ensure the seasonings you use do not include salt and or use low sodium soy sauce.  I froze the left over juice to put in our next beef soup or stew-it was too good to waste.  This was an incredibly easy way to feed the family on a night when we were running to various kid activities.
